Project Overview

The Ontario Parks Kiosk is a digital interactive display designed for public environments such as visitor centers and exhibitions. It provides users with information about provincial parks, including history, activities, and ecological highlights through a visually rich and easy-to-navigate interface.

Project Objective / Challenge

The main objective was to create a user-friendly kiosk interface that works smoothly on large touchscreens. A key challenge was organizing a large amount of information—history, activities, and classifications— into clear, interactive sections while maintaining performance and accessibility.

The Process

The project began with structuring content into multiple interactive screens such as homepage, history timeline, visitor information, and wildlife sections. HTML and CSS were used to build the layout and styling, while JavaScript enabled dynamic interactions such as tab switching, timeline navigation, and content updates based on user input.

Project Deliverable

The final deliverable is a fully functional kiosk interface showcasing multiple interactive screens, including a timeline-based history section, tabbed information panels, and wildlife educational content. The project demonstrates strong front-end development skills and user-centered design principles.
